This page is a summary of the tools I have recommended throughout this website. I am familiar with every product mentioned on this page. Most of them, I use myself in my own practice. That’s why I’m willing to recommend them to you! (Full disclosure: I have an affiliate relationship with some of these products, which means that I earn a little bit if you go to them through this website, but the cost to you is the same.)
Physician Referral Letters
Here is a link to letters I use in my own practice to introduce myself to physicians. It’s a series of 4, designed to be mailed every 4 weeks or so, so that the doctor begins to feel that they know you and how you operate. They’re absolutely free to you, although I do ask that you join as a Free Member to get access to the page. (Don’t worry; I don’t share your email address with anyone, and of course you can unsubscribe from my list whenever you want.)
How to create your therapy website or blog
This is a detailed post that walks you through the steps, from picking your domain name, links to how to build your own site if you want to, or links to several web page designers. It’s completely free; you just need to join as a member. (Don’t worry; I don’t share your email address with anyone, and of course you can unsubscribe from my list whenever you want.)
I’ve used this myself for years at home and at the office, and I love it. They are based in Iowa, return my calls, and it works perfectly. I had a hard drive crash at home, and had no problems restoring my data. Best of all, it’s HIPAA compliant. Free trial with no credit card required, too.
This is the phone system I use, after learning that voicemail is considered Personal Health Information, and that therefore your system has to be HIPAA compliant and willing to sign a Business Associate Agreement with you. Besides all that, a feature I love is that there is a way to call from any number, including my cell phone, and have my office number show up on the client’s caller ID. Priceless! Please mention that PracticeSuccessTools.com sent you.
I checked out MailChimp, and I am very impressed. Great integration with other programs, free until your list grows to a certain size, and very user-friendly. Give it a try, and we both get a little reward!
I use ActiveCampaign, which has a very minimal monthly fee. It is a very powerful tool, but fairly easy to learn, with good support. They’ll give you a 14 day free trial, so if you’re interested, see what you think.
BlueHost does a great job of web-hosting, and has great customer support. They are also famous for their tremendously easy WordPress installations. Whether you are starting a website based on WordPress, or want install a WordPress blog on your site hosted at BlueHost, they are the ones to see.

I could never keep track of all my various projects, ideas, documents, to-do’s, and everything else without Evernote. It’s literally my brain, on every device that I have. This entire membership website is full of links to tools that we believe are really useful. I either use them myself or recommend them highly to others. I’ve looked into all of them, and feel comfortable recommending them to you.
Full disclosure: I have affiliate relationships with many of these tools. What does that mean? It means when you use our link to research these, I make a little money if you end up buying. Your price is the same either way. I don’t list them because I have an affiliate relationship. I sought out the affiliate relationship because I recommend the tool. I would recommend any of these tools, even if I didn’t have an affiliate relationship.
